    Beide lateinamreikanische Länder wählen in den kommenden Wochen neue Präsidenten.

    In beiden Ländern könnte ein radikaler politischer Wechsel anstehen.

    Dort finden am 07. Juni die Stichwahlen statt. Umfragen suggerieren ein Kopf-an-Kopf Rennen zwischen Rechts und Links. Pikant: für die rechte Fuerza Popular, FP tritt die Tochter des ehemaligen und jüngst verstorbenen Präsidenten Alberto Fujimori, Keiko Fujimori an.

    Die 1. Runde der Präsidentschaftswahl findet kommenden Sonntag statt, eine ggf. notwendige Stichwahl (wovon ich derzeit ausgehe) ist für den 21. Juni vorgesehen.

    Wie erwartet, kommt es auch in Kolumbien zu einer Stichwahl: Wie 2022 Mitte-Links gegen Rechtsaußen.

    2022 konnte der Kandidat des Pacto Histórico, PH das Rennen knapp für sich entscheiden, ebenfalls gegen einen Kandidaten aus den Reihen des MSN: 50,4% zu 47,4%.

    Allerdings lag 2002 der Kandidat des PH im 1. Wahlgang deutlich vorne (12 Prozentpunkte); 2026 ist es genau umgekehrt: Der MSN-Kandidat erhielt etwa 3 % mehr.

    Der Markt startet am Dienstagabend.
